Sing along and concert “Lead with Love” at the Newton Correctional Facility with eight current and former outside singers of the Oakdale Choir, April 29, 2017.

Sing along and abbreviated “Look on the Bright Side” performance at the Newton Correctional Facility with two University of Iowa alumni, January 21, 2017. Over 15 former inside singers from the Oakdale Choir have been transferred to this facility and one of them wrote an original song that we performed.

“Look on the Bright Side,” Oakdale Community Choir Concert, December 6 & 14, 2016 at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center, Coralville, IA. Over 200 community members in the audience on December 14. Nineteen students from a First Year Seminar that examined literature about prisons met with Warden Jim McKinney and a group of inside singers, as well as attended the concert for an incarcerated audience on December 6.
